MU set to introduce new athletics director

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The University of Missouri announced that new MU Athletics Director Laird Veatch will be formally introduced on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Stephens Indoor Facility. The event will be open to the public and will be carried live on ABC 17, KMIZ and abc17news.com

The former Memphis AD is preparing to lead Mizzou Athletics, following the departure of former MU Athletics Director Desireé Reed-Francois to the University of Arizona. Veatch was announced as her replacement on Tuesday.

Veatch, UM President Mun Choi and Chair of the Board of Curators Robin Wenneker are scheduled to be in attendance, along with other university officials, curators and key athletic staff.
