Columbia firefighters respond to fire alarm at Mizzou athletic complex

Columbia authorities respond to an MU athletic training complex on Monday night March 2.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia first responders were seen at the Mizzou Athletic Training Complex on Monday night.

Several Columbia Fire Department vehicles were at the facility on Stadium Boulevard. Fire department assistant chief Jerry Jenkins said people inside reported seeing smoke.

Jenkins said the fire alarm was pulled at the facility. Firefighters are working to find out where the smoke is coming from. Jenkins said there were no obvious signs of fire.

Firefighters evacuated the building after crews arrived.
