MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Moberly School District administration did not let a select group of seniors walk during graduation due to a senior prank.

According to a release by the administration, "a group of students regarding a senior prank. The district worked with the students to determine a plan for a school-approved prank, which was not followed in its entirety and caused a disruption to the learning environment and campus facilities."

This caused the students to go against the district's student code which could prohibit the students from walking.

The administration offered those students an option that would allow them to participate in the graduation ceremony, but that option was not fulfilled.

Officials say they are grateful to staff members for their work in ensuring the building was safe and clean when students returned.
