Jefferson City School District files eminent domain lawsuit

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City School District has filed an eminent domain lawsuit for parts of lots 112 and 113 of the Woodcrest Subdivision. It is at 419 Union Street in Jefferson City.

The district is looking to acquire the land for public school purposes including but not limited to parking facilities and/or athletic facilities.

The property on the lots was damaged in the May 2019 tornado.

Homeowners approached the district about acquiring the properties.

The property is owned by ACM Vision V, a LLC.
