QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should Columbia Public Schools tighten cellphone policies?

The public and the Columbia Board of Education heard Monday night about a plan to limit cellphone distractions at schools.

District leaders rolled out a uniform policy with discipline tiers at the school board meeting, saying that they've heard complaints that cellphones are causing classroom problems. The materials included on the school board's webpage include levels of discipline for violators.

Do you like the CPS plan or do you need to know more? Vote in the poll.
