QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should Columbia Public Schools use weapons detection systems?

Columbia Public Schools held a demonstration of the Evolv weapons detection system Monday at Hickman High School for the second time.

The district has been exploring the technology for some time after students walked out to demand more protection after another school shooting. The systems offer safety but can also change the learning environment.
