A Columbia Board of Education member plans to run for re-election.

According to a press release from the campaign for Blake Willoughby, he will seek a second term on the board of education.

"I am committed to the value of community and this will be a campaign focused on how we can come together united as a community to continue the improvement of our educational system for all students," said Willoughby.

Willoughby was first elected to the board of education in April of 2019.

According to the press release, Willoughby is the chair of the board's long-range facilities planning committee. He's also a member of the school board's policy committee.
