The Columbia Board of Education voted Monday to open up classrooms to all students starting next week.

Elementary students will attend in-person classes four days each week, while middle and high school students will alternate two days in class and two days online each week.

However, public opinion was split Monday on whether the vote was the correct course of action amid high coronavirus case rates.

What do you think? Vote in the poll below.

  1. In the first place, no one has any idea what the case rate is because the tests being used are woefully inadequate for the purpose. In the second place, there is zero evidence that school age children are a significant vector. Quite the contrary in fact. In the third place I don’t want these children going back to the State run “education” warehouse that also includes a pipeline to prison for relatively innocuous behavior. Public education is the SOURCE of a great many of our problems, of the non-viral variety.
