CPS superintendent “agrees we’ll need to close” schools over COVID-19

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Public Schools Superintendent Peter Stiepleman said Sunday night he "agrees we'll need to close" all schools over the coronavirus outbreak.

He made the comments in response to a concerned student who said they believe closing the schools is in the best interest of the CPS students and staff.

Stiepleman added the district will make an announcement Monday on the next steps it will take amid the outbreak.
