Shannon Lundeen picked as new Stephens College president

The Stephens College Board of Trustees has picked the school’s next leader.
Shannon Lundeen will be the 25th president of Stephens College, beginning on June 1, according to a Thursday press release from the school. Lundeen will replace Dianne Lynch, who announced her retirement last year. Lynch will retire in May after being with the school since 2009.
Lundeen has a PhD and a master of arts degree in philosophy from Stoney Brook University, the release says.
Lundeen has been the vice president of programs and Operations at Higher Education Resource Services since 2022 and oversees program development, delivery, admissions and assessment, human resources, marketing, recruitment and alumni engagement, the release says.
The release says that she has also previously been the associate director of the gender, sexuality and women's studies program and the Alice Paul Center at the University of Pennsylvania. She was also the director of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women at Case Western Reserve University. In 2015, she became the inaugural director of academic-residential partnerships at Elon University, the release says.
Lundeen has a PhD and a master of arts degree in philosophy from Stoney Brook University, the release says. Stephens College will hold an event next month to welcome Lundeen to campus, the release
