QUESTION OF THE DAY: Is $40k enough for a minimum teacher salary?

Gov. Mike Parson gave his final State of the State address in the House chamber Wednesday afternoon.

Among the priorities he laid out for the legislative session is another one-time grant to bring minimum teacher pay up to $40,000 statewide. This follows two years of grants to bring that number to $38,000.

The fix is temporary -- Missouri's statutes still peg the minimum at just $25,000.

Do you think $40,000 is enough?
