Galbreath picked as next Battle High School principal
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Alyssa Galbreath will be the next principal at Battle High School, according to a press release from Columbia Public Schools.
Galbreath is currently an assistant principal at Battle High School. Galbreath will take over her new role from Principal Adam Taylor. Taylor was selected to be the district’s executive director of secondary education earlier this school year, the release states.Â
Galbreath is a graduate of Hickman High School. She earned a bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and secondary teaching from Westminster College.
She was a University of Missouri teaching fellow and began her teaching career at West Junior High in 2011, before transitioning to Hickman High School, the release states. Galbreath completed her specialist and doctoral degrees in educational leadership from William Woods University.
Galbreath served as the administrative assistant, and then was the assistant principal at Gentry Middle School before moving to Battle High School as an assistant principal in 2020, according to the release.
