Missouri's state government just gave out a round of grants to mostly small school districts to enhance their security measures.
Two notable absences from the list of winners were Columbia Public Schools and the Jefferson City School District, each of which applied for money. Those districts already have several security measures in place, though, and CPS is considering significant upgrades.
