Jefferson City Schools’ chief of learning to retire

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City School District confirmed to ABC 17 News Thursday that Dr. Brian Shindorf plans to retire as the administration's chief of learning.

Shindorf has been with the district since 2016 after serving as director of elementary education in the St. Joseph School District.

On Jan. 15, the district posted the chief of learning position to internal candidates and on Jan. 31, on its employment opportunities webpage.

JC Schools spokeswoman Ryan Burns said additional details about Shindorf's retirement will be released next week.
