Columbia Public Schools announces new Derby Ridge principal

Tonya Henry was selected by Columbia Public Schools to serve as the new Derby Ridge Elementary principal on Friday.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Public Schools announced on Friday that Derby Ridge Elementary School has a new principal.

CPS spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark said Tonya Henry was recommended to the school board for the 2020-2021 school year.

Henry has been the assistant principal at Derby Ridge since 2018. She's taking over for Mary Korth-Lloyd who's been working as an interim principal after she announced her retirement.

Baumstark said Henry has more than 20 years of education experience. She included Henry has worked at CPS for her entire professional career.
