MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Military Academy made the announcement on Tuesday following a nationwide search.

Bob Belknap was selected out of 70 candidates to serve as the school's new vice president for institutional advancement. His first day at MMA is Jan. 20.

Belknap previously worked at the American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, Kentucky.

MMA's president said Belknap will expand the school's outreach.

"Bob's highly successful record of fundraising, grant writing, and business leadership, plus military school and army officer experience, make him a strong addition to our leadership team,” MMA president Richard Geraci said.
