Two men are facing charges following a burglary investigation in Montreal.

A Camden County prosecutor charged Jeffrey Jones and Bobby Alford with second-degree burglary and stealing - $750 or more.

On Monday evening, Camden County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence off State Road BB.

The caller said that several people were loading items from a barn and a home nearby and that the property owner was in St Louis.

When deputies arrived they found five suspects loading items into different vehicles. Deputies reported finding evidence that put several of the suspects inside the home and inside the barn.

The other three subjects have been released pending further investigation.

Jones is being held without bond in the Camden County Jail. Alford is held in the Camden County Jail on a $50,000 cash/surety bond.

Both men do not have a defense attorney listed, according to online court records.
