Father and son charged with burglarizing a Cole County gun store

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A father and son are accused of burglarizing Bob's Guns & Knives store in early February.

According to a probable cause statement, Christopher McCombs Sr. and Christopher McCombs Jr. allegedly broke into the store and stole an unknown amount of merchandise and knives.

Officials say one man used a concrete saw to cut through the door's lock just before 6 a.m.

Police reported that father and son were in a car blocking pumps at a gas station two miles from the burglary. The attendent reported the father had blood on his pants.

During the investigation, police found the stolen items, concrete saw and other items about 500 yards behind the store.

Officials detained the son after locating the vehicle in Holts Summit.

Both men are charged with 2nd-degree burglary.

No bond was given to McCombs Sr.

McCombs Jr. has a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
