Columbia man charged for allegedly drug trafficking cocaine, marijuana and meth

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man is facing multiple charges after police connected him to a large drug trafficking operation on the 300 block of Ripley St., according to court documents.

A Boone County prosecutor has charged Mark McKee with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, one count of delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana, unlawful use of a weapon - subsection 11, resisting arrest and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators first learned about Mckee after the suspected overdose death of Anna Pelletier on April 20, 2022. Police learned after speaking with Pelletier's roommate that she allegedly bought pounds of marijuana from McKee, according to court documents.

Then on April 21, Columbia police arrested Rashad Fonville after a confidential informant bought drugs multiple times from Fonville.

Police say that while conducting surveillance, McKee was seen driving and picking up a package from a residence on the 1500 block of East Walnut St.

On July 1, detectives were told that another package would be delivered to the residence and police watching the residence saw McKee pick up the package.

A search warrant was then issued for McKee's residence where police found a gun, meth, cocaine, and marijuana according to court records.

McKee had his initial court appearance at 1 p.m. Tuesday. McKee does not have a defense attorney listed according to online court records.

McKee is being held without bond at the Boone County Jail.
