MGN

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Audrain County prosecutor has charged a Mexico man with trafficking meth after a 10-month investigation.

Elliot Kitson is charged with first-degree drug trafficking.

In June of 2021, an Audrain County investigator got a tip about Kitson allegedly trafficking meth, according to court documents.

During the investigation, Kitson was pulled over and during a search of Kitson deputies found suspected meth on Kitson and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

On Feb. 1, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab confirmed that the drugs found on Kitson were meth.

Kitson has an initial court appearance scheduled for April 19.

Online court records indicate that Kitson does not have a lawyer at this time.
