MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers seized cocaine and marijuana after an Interstate 70 traffic stop Thursday morning in Montgomery County.

Officials report troopers stopped a vehicle for expired registration on eastbound I-70 at the 167 mile marker.

Troopers report a probable cause search revealed 2.5 pounds of cocaine and 15 pounds of marijuana.

The driver and passenger were placed under arrest.
