Moberly man arrested on drug charges after fentanyl, meth, other drugs seized

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Randolph County man was arrested after an investigation began by the North Missouri Drug Task Force in January leads to drug charges.

According to court documents, a confidential informant bought meth from Scott Ellis in January at a home in Moberly.

In April, a search warrant was issued for that home where meth, fentanyl, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms were seized.

Officials seized 434 pills of reported fentanyl, 64 grams of meth, 13 grams of mushrooms, seven tabs of alleged LSD, five 30mg morphine pills and other drug paraphernalia.

Ellis's residence on the 400 block of Tara Park in Moberly is less than 1700 feet from South Park Elementary.

Ellis is charged with three counts of second degree trafficking drugs, 12 counts of delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and six counts of delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana or syntheric cannabinoid.

According to online records, no bond was allowed for Ellis.
