Columbia man arrested on drug charges Oct. 13

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man is charged with drug trafficking and drug possession after an October 13 arrest.

A Boone County probable cause statement reveals Kennis Shepperd-Dickson was arrested at Boone County Jail.

According to court documents, Columbia Police served a search warrant at a hotel on the 1600 block of North Providence. According to court records, the room was registered to Shepperd-Dickson. During the investigation into the room, officers found drugs and drug paraphenilia.

During the room investigation, court documents reveal that Shepperd-Dickson was visiting someone at the Boone County Jail. Shepperd-Dickson was arrested at the jail according to court records.

In the probable cause statement, police found a brown powder that field tested positive for fentanyl and heroin, cocaine and meth.

Shepperd-Dickson told police he had been selling drugs every week for the last two months after he lost his job according to court documents.

Court records indicate Shepperd-Dickson has a $150,000 bond, cash or surety.
