Columbia man accused of two murders in July 2020 faces new charges

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A recently superseding indictment was unsealed against a Columbia man accused of murder for the July 2020 deaths of two people after a fireworks dispute.

The new indictment charges 18-year-old Iseah Jackson with two counts of second-degree murder and for armed criminal action.

Jackson will be arraigned in Boone County Circuit Court on Monday.

A witness of the shooting told police that Jackson and others came over after an errant firework went over into another yard according to court documents.

Jackson is accused of displaying a gun in a threatening manner leading up to the deadly shooting but the charges do not claim he actually shot the victims.

Jackson’s attorney has requested a delay in the July trial since some Columbia police officers are unavailable the week it's set.
