MGN

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Callaway County judge has placed a Holts Summit man on five years of unsupervised probation for pleading guilty to charges in connection to a shooting in September 2019 in Holts Summit.

Samuel Schroeder, 30, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and fourth-degree domestic assault.

If Schroeder violates his probation, he will face seven years in prison.

According to court documents, Schroeder allegedly became angry, concerned that a female roommate and the victim were taking items that belonged to him as she was moving out.

Documents said Schroeder came out of the home with a gun and shot at the victim twice, hitting him.
