Bond hearing rescheduled for Illinois man accused of killing his father

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No bond hearing was held today for an Illinois man accused of killing his father who worked at Columbia Public Schools.

Micah McElmurray was scheduled to appear in a Tennessee courtroom after he was charged with shooting Mike Woods.

The bond hearing was pushed back to June 15th along with a preliminary hearing.

ABC 17 News did reach out to the Marion County District Public Defenders Office but are still waiting to hear back.

Hundreds of people attended a vigil Monday held in Woods' honor at Rock Bridge High School. Students described him as a mentor and father figure.
