Jefferson City man reaches plea agreement in federal drug case

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man has entered a guilty plea in connection to a federal drug case in Jefferson City.

Jefferson City police executed a search warrant on Mark Moots’ residence and found guns and drugs in June 2020.

According to court documents, Moots was found hiding in a shower.

Moots pled guilty to drug trafficking and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

Moots faces a minimum of five years in prison and the possibility of life in prison.

A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled.
