JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A judge placed a Jefferson City man on five years probation after he pleaded guilty to second-degree involuntary manslaughter in an October 2019 fatal crash.

Darrel Weakly, 31, faces four years in prison if he violates the conditions of his probation.

Weakly was driving on Highway 179 when he hit a motorcycle driven by 60-year-old Anthony Adrian.

Police said Adrian was thrown from the bike causing his injuries. Adrian later died at University Hospital from his injuries.

According to the court documents, Weakly told police he turned left and had a flashing yellow light prior to the crash. He said he did not see the motorcycle before the wreck.
