More charges filed against Audrain County man accused of sex crimes against children
AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Audrain County prosecutor has filed more charges against a man accused of sex crimes against children.
William Dahl faces new charges of forcible rape and attempted forcible rape in one case. In the second case, Dahl faces new charges of first-degree statutory rape, statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation.
Officials say the incidents occurred in the summer of 2005 and the summer of 2007 in Audrain County.
This charged conduct involves rape and sodomy of two girls, aged 13 and 16 at the time of the assaults, in Dahl's Audrain County home.
This brings the total active cases involving Dahl to five.
Dahl has a disposition hearing scheduled on Feb. 8 for two previous cases.
In his first case, Dahl was charged on Feb. 5, 2021, for promoting a sexual performance by a child, use of child in sexual performance, two counts of second-degree statutory sodomy, fourth-degree child molestation, child kidnapping, two counts of furnishing pornographic material to a minor, third-degree child molestation and three counts of enticement or attempted enticement of a child.
In his second case, Dahl was charged on April 2, 2021, for first-degree sexual trafficking of a child, sexual exploitation of a minor, first-degree promoting child porn and possession of child porn.
Dahl was also charged on Dec. 17, 2021, with forcible sodomy.
No bond was issued for the new charges. Dahl will have an initial court appearance on Feb. 8.
