JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A motion to dismiss charges has been filed in a 2018 Jefferson City fatal shooting.
JaHuan Whirley is charged with first-degree murder and other crimes in the shooting death of 33-year-old Justin Kammerich.
The motion seeks to dismiss the eight charges because Whirley was underage at the time of the crimes.
A motion for release on own recognizance or to reduce bond was also filed because Whirley is being held without bond.
Whirley is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree attempted robbery and unlawful use of a weapon.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 15 and a jury trial is scheduled for March 21.
