Woman arrested and charged after four children found alone in hotel room

Columbia Police responding to a report of children being left alone in a hotel room in June leads to charges for a Columbia woman.

According to court documents, police responded to the Motel 6 on the 3400 block of Interstate 70 Drive Southeast after an employee reported three children between one and three years old were unattended in a room.

When police arrived they found four children; a five-year-old, four-year-old, three-year-old, and one-year-old in a room that smelled of feces and spoiled food according to court documents.

Police report two of the children were not clothed and were wearing diapers that were soiled and need to be changed.

While on scene, police reported Arionna Brewster returned to the room.

Brewster is charged with four counts of abuse or neglect of a child.

Brewster has a $10,000 bond.
