One arrested, four sought in northeast Columbia car chase

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County Sheriff's department reveals new details about a Friday night chase that ends in one arrest and law enforcement looking for four other occupants of a stolen vehicle.

Just before 6:30 p.m., a Boone County deputy was alerted by an automated license plate reader of a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Brown Station Road and Premier Lane.

The deputy reportedly tried to stop the stolen Nissan Murano however the vehicle drove off.

A chase continued till the 1400 block of Raleigh Drive, where the Nissan crashed into a parked car.

Officials report five occupants of the Nissan fled on foot from the Nissan. One female occupant, identified as 17-year-old Chanyah A. Doxley, was taken into custody.

The Columbia Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted in trying to locate the other four occupants who fled the scene, but they were not located or apprehended.

Doxley was arrested for resisting arrest and tampering with a motor vehicle.

Doxley is at Boone County Jail awaiting bond.
