Three arrested after chase from Cole County into Osage County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police arrested three suspects after a chase on Highway 50 begins in Cole County and ended in Osage County.

According to the release, Jefferson City Police attempted to pull over a vehicle for a registration violation when the vehicle sped off.

Officials say the vehicle went east on Hwy 50 when police ended the pursuit due to dangerous driving by the suspects.

Missouri State Highway Patrol and Osage County Sheriff's Department found the vehicle crashed and abandoned on the side of the road in Osage county.

Law enforcement on-site soon detained one suspect near the vehicle and detained two more after searching the area.

Officials report three suspects from the St. Louis area were arrested.

Officials report the vehicle was reported stolen out of St. Ann, Missouri.

According to the release, the suspects face 1st-degree tampering, 2nd-degree tampering and resisting a felony arrest charges in Cole County.
