Man arrested after Callaway County chase ends in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A chase that began in Callaway County Monday night ends in an arrest in Boone County.

According to court documents, Callaway County Joint Communications Center advised Columbia Police of a stolen Boone County vehicle.

Law enforcement reports the chase started around mile marker 132 and ended after mile marker 153.8 on Interstate 70.

According to officials, the driver's front passenger side tide fell off the rim due to a tire deflation device. The chase kept going for another six miles before Jason Blanton stopped on the shoulder.

Blanton got out of the vehicle and refused commands according to court documents. After being placed in custody, Blanton told law enforcement of marijuana in the vehicle reported from the probable cause statement.

According to the probable cause statement, Blanton has a history of driving while revoked, DWI and other crimes.
