COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boone County prosecutor charged a Columbia woman after a Sunday morning assault where the suspect cut the victim with knives.

Columbia police responded to multiple 911 calls about an incident in the 4000 block of Arctic Fox Drive.

Police found the victim with blood dripping from wounds on his arm in front of a residence, according to court documents.

The victim told police that he and Palmer met at a friend’s house, but documents say when Palmer came back to his residence, she declined to have sex with him. After the victim pushed Palmer out of his bed, Palmer went to the kitchen and then picked up knives and allegedly cut the victim, the statement says.

Palmer alleges the victim punched her in the face, according to court documents.

Palmer is charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Palmer is in Boone County Jail being held without bond.
