Man arrested after threatening person with hatchet

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Verbal altercation leads to a man waving a hatchet and threatening bodily harm on Sunday morning in Jefferson City.

According to court documents, Nekoma Hendrix allegedly followed a victim and confronted him with a hatchet in front of a Jefferson City business.

Hendrix told police that he felt disrespected and told the victim "are you ready to meet your maker?"

Hendrix is charged with 2nd-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

The court did issue a bond for Hendrix.
