FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Police responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 200 block of west 6th Street Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, Jared Brooks drove to the location and had an argument with the victims, displaying a handgun in front of two adults and three children in a vehicle.

Witnesses say in the probable cause statement that Brooks was flailing around with the gun in his hand causing the witnesses to fear for themselves and the kid's lives.

According to the probable cause statement, Brooks was found at a Fulton business after the incident where police found the gun.

According to court documents, no shots were fired and no one was injured.

Brooks is charged with domestic assault 4th degree, assault 4th degree, unlawful use of a weapon and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to online reports, Brooks was taken to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held without bond.
