Man accused of threatening to shoot ‘every white person’ during downtown Columbia pop-up event

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man has been charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor after he allegedly attacked someone and threatened to shoot “every white person” at a downtown Columbia event.

Manareldeen Fajors, 22, of St. Louis, is charged in Boone County with second-degree making a terroristic threat, first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court date has not been scheduled.

Court documents say Fajors arrived at a minimart during a pop-up event in downtown Columbia on Wednesday. He allegedly carried multiple passes, which a worker told police only one person could get one pass for the event, according to the probable cause statement.

When Fajors was questioned about the passes, he allegedly became mad and threatened to grab a gun and shot “every white person,” according to court documents.

A second probable cause statement claims Fajors returned to the same minimart on Thursday and became aggressive again. Fajors allegedly tackled someone, stuck his hand in the victim’s mouth and tried to separate their cheek from their jawline, the statement says. He allegedly elbowed a second person who tried to get him to stop, the statement says.  

A police officer wrote in that statement that Fajors called him racial slurs while he was being detained.
