Columbia man accused of possessing child porn

MGN

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was charged on Friday in Boone County with two felonies.

Donta Bogan was charged with possessing child sex abuse materials and promoting child sex abuse materials. He is being held in Pettis County for a different warrant.

The probable cause statement says Boone County received a CyberTip on Sept. 3 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child sex abuse materials being stored on a cloud-based storage system.

The IP address was associated with Bogan’s home address and he allegedly admitted to possessing and distributing videos when law enforcement spoke with him on Thursday.

Bogan is charged with first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle in Pettis County. A hearing was held on Tuesday and cause was set for a preliminary hearing on 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.
