COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A former Phelps County deputy who pleaded guilty last year to federal child sex crimes has been sentenced to 65 years in prison.

A Monday press release from the Department of Justice says that Justin Bradley Durham, of Rolla, was also ordered to pay $79,160 to the victim after he pleaded guilty last year to one count of production of child pornography, two counts of receiving child pornography and three counts of destroying records in a federal investigation.

Durham was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office in August 2023.

He admitted that he requested and received explicit videos from a youth in 2013 and paid them money to engage in sex acts with him, the release says. The release also says that he admitted to “engaging in sex acts multiple times” with a minor, including in his patrol vehicle.
