Iberia man charged with having child porn in Miller County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Iberia man was charged with a pair of felonies on Wednesday.

Owen Lee, 21, was charged in Miller County with two counts of having child porn. He was brought to the Miller County Jail and posted a $7,500 bond. An arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 14.

Law enforcement was tipped off on Feb. 6 by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an account downloading child porn from Snapchat in October, according to the probable cause statement.

Lee allegedly met with deputies at the sheriff’s office on March 29 and handed over his phone, the statement says. Lee allegedly said that he used his phone to go to an undisclosed website that would give direct links to child porn and then download images to his phone, the statement says.

Several files were found on his phone, court documents say.
