Moberly man charged with child sex crime

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Moberly man was charged with a child sex crime on Monday.
Xavier Burke, 18, was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child. He is being held at the Randolph County Jail on a $20,000 bond. A court date has not been scheduled.
According to the probable cause statement, Burke admitted to seeing a minor nude during a video call on Google Meet and exposed himself. The victim allegedly told deputies that Burke made threats to the victim about “spreading rumors” if they did not comply with his orders, court documents say. The victim also allegedly stated that that Burke told them that he knew where the victim lived, the statement says.
Burke denied coercing the victim, court documents say.
