Columbia man gets 10-year prison sentence for shooting
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison with credit for time served after he was charged last June with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in connection with a shooting.
Perry D. Bradshaw, 39, pleaded guilty Monday to the assault charge. Prosecutors dropped the armed criminal action charge in exchange for his plea, according to a sentencing order.
Judge Brouck Jacobs sentenced Bradshaw to 10 years in prison.
Police say video showed Bradshaw shooting a man multiple times on Madison Street in Central Columbia during an argument over money.
A video was submitted to ABC 17 News that showed the victim sitting on the front step of a home on Madison Street. He appears to yell at someone offscreen. A man, who is presumed to be Bradshaw, rides a bicycle to the yard and the two can be heard arguing over money. Bradshaw can be heard demanding money from the victim.
Bradshaw at one point makes a phone call and can be heard saying, "Hey, pull up so I can go to St. Louis." Bradshaw and the victim are then seen walking to the driveway of the home and continue arguing. The video then shows Bradshaw pull out a gun and fire three shots at the victim.
A grey car then pulls up to the residence and Bradshaw gets into the car before it drives away, the video shows. The video then shows the victim walk back to the house with blood on his shirt.
Police arrested Bradshaw during a traffic stop.
