COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An inmate at Jefferson City Correctional Center has been charged with being a fugitive from out of state after being charged with murder in Kern County in the state of California.

Miles Clancy, 40, of Marshfield, Missouri, was charged with being an out-of-state fugitive on Tuesday. He is serving a five-year sentence from Pulaski County.

He pleaded guilty to drug possession on May 18, 2022, and was initially sentenced to probation. Court records show that his probation was revoked on Dec. 21, 2022. He’s been in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections on Jan. 13, 2023, according to DOC spokeswoman Karen Pojman.

Court documents from California allege that Clancy fled the state after the killing. California filed for extradition. Court documents say Clancy and Joseph Aguire were accused of killing Wahba Agaiby Wahba on Oct. 14, 2020. The filing says Aguire is accused of firing the gun that killed Wahba.

California court records list Clancy’s address as Bakersfield, California.
