Sedalia man faces 9 child porn charges

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Sedalia man was charged on Thursday with several counts related to child pornography.
Keishawn Davis was charged with possessing child pornography and eight counts of first-degree promoting child porn. He is being held at the Pettis County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Davis appeared for an arraignment on Friday by video from the jail. A status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the probable cause statement, law enforcement was tipped off in November about child porn being uploaded to the messaging application Kik under an email address allegedly associated with Davis.
Law enforcement received additional information in December about an IP address associated with Davis’ home address, the statement says.
Deputies executed a search warrant on Wednesday at Davis’ residence and Davis’ phone had nearly 800 files of child porn, the statement says.
