Woman gets probation after pleading guilty to stealing thousands from Paris Athletic Booster Club

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A woman pleaded guilty on Thursday to stealing more than $23,000 from the Paris Athletic Booster Club.
Jessica Howard, 43, of Paris, Missouri, pleaded guilty to stealing more than $750 and forgery. She was sentenced to five years of probation. She faces the possibility of serving five years in prison, if she violates probation.
Howard was originally charged last week with three counts of stealing more than $750, one count of forgery and two counts of fraudulently using a debit card.
Howard is a former officer of the Paris Athletic Booster Club, according to a press release from Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Nicole Volkert. She pleaded guilty to taking more than $23,000 from August 2023-September 2024.
Court documents claim she used the athletic club’s debit card to withdraw money from the account.
