Couple pleads guilty to child sex crimes in Howard County, man pleads guilty to first-degree rape

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A couple has pleaded guilty to several felonies, including child sex crimes, in Howard County.

Jeremy Cudney, of Fayette, was sentenced to 50 years in prison after he pleaded guilty on Friday to drug possession, three counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, one count of misdemeanor illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, four counts of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree statutory sodomy.

Cassandra Cudney, of Fayette, pleaded guilty to drug possession, five counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, one count of misdemeanor illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. She will be sentenced at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 22 and will be remanded to federal custody.

Court documents filed say that Jeremy Cudney raped a child victim between Aug. 25, 2019-Aug. 30 2021. Other child victims were listed under the endangerment charges.

The Cudneys were indicted in federal court in October for allegedly making child pornography.
