Morgan County man accused of having child porn, sexually assaulting dog

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Stover man faces several charges after authorities say he was in possession of child pornography and sexually abused a dog.
Brenton Roberts, 21, was charged with five counts of possessing child pornography. He is being held at the Morgan County Jail on a $250,000 bond. A court date has not been scheduled.
According to the probable cause statement, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a child porn investigation in Kansas that allegedly involved Roberts. A search warrant was conducted of a Google account that belonged to Roberts, court documents say.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Jan. 17 for the account, which allegedly had 93 files of child pornography, the statement says.
A deputy also reviewed additional files from a flash drive on Wednesday that allegedly showed Roberts sexually abusing a dog, court documents say. Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Roberts’ residence and asked to see his phone, the statement says.
Roberts claimed ownership until he was told he was under investigation for child pornography, court documents say.
Deputies also saw the same dog at the residence, court documents say.
