A Kansas City man pleaded guilty in federal court in Kansas City on Tuesday for his role in a series of armed robberies in Mid-Missouri, the Department of Justice wrote in a press release.

Kentrail Collins, 26, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery, five counts of robbery, one count of brandishing a gun and one count of being a felon with a gun.

The release says that Collins pleaded guilty to the armed robberies of three businesses on Jan. 5, 2023: A Petromart at 1004 N. Stadium Blvd. in Columbia, the Break Time at on Pioneer Street in Boonville and the Casey’s on South Broadway in Oak Grove, as well as two other armed robberies on Jan. 8, 2023, in Joplin and Lamar.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Collins on Jan. 9, 2023, and a chase that exceeded 120 miles per hour ensued before Collins was arrested, the release says.
