COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was charged with multiple felonies after he allegedly held up another man for $20 on Wednesday.

Donzale Gaines, 58, was charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and illegal gun possession. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court date has not been scheduled.

Police wrote in a Thursday press release that Gaines robbed the victim in the 200 block of Allen Walkway. Gaines allegedly asked the victim for money and he pulled out a gun when the victim claimed he did not have any, according to the probable cause statement.

The victim then allegedly handed over $20, court documents say. The victim was able to identify Gaines in a photo lineup.
